Field Scan 12
Field Scan 12
optical scan, archival pigment print
24x30"
2015

This work is part of a series created by manually scanning areas of wild grass in rural Maine.

The scale of this print is precisely 1:1, meaning that the print exactly matches the size of the material and area that was scanned. The size of the scanned area is determined by the maximum area that my body can reach as I manually pull the modified scanning device from top to bottom.

Visible anomalies are the result of a short focal length and by the scanned material getting manipulated, destroyed, or stuck in the scanner as I record the image.
