Early Performance Work > Virginia Niche

2007, projectors with electronics, mylar, aluminum, chrome hardware, various dimensions (each projection screen is 4”x5”)

Virginia Niche was an installation of several small projected videos that document 3 separate performances. Each projection documents a performance where I illustrated a 3 small niches found in Richmond, Virginia. By documenting my presence rather than my image, each performance illustrates the space and atmosphere of the small, unnoticed yet beautiful locations. In order to parallel the intimacy of these locations and my performances I presented these projections as small as possible and tucked in a corner of a small gallery located in VCUarts Anderson Gallery.
